Chloe Makley
Chloe is serving a two-year term at the Good Soil Community Center in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Her primary responsibility is directing the work of English teaching to various age groups. Chloe will also complete a TESOL certification from Huntington University in the first semester of this term.
As a child in her home church (Mount Hope Assemblies of God in Portland, Mich.), Chloe was fascinated by missionaries who shared stories about reaching people with God’s love. As a teenager, Chloe had the opportunity to make multiple short-term mission trips with teams from the Kilpatrick UB Church. She completed a one-year internship with UB Global in March 2023 serving in Thailand where she worked with both youth and adults in many different contexts. Now, as a missionary staff person she has committed to serve through March 2026.
By the leading of the Spirit through prayer, investigation, and many conversations, Chloe developed an enthusiastic preparedness to serve and reach the children, youth, and their families in Thailand. Less than half of 1% of the Northern Thai people are Christian.
She works with an international team who offer various classes to the community to improve life and working skills. Each team member provides a daily Christian witness and offers regular invitations to Northern Thai to become disciples of Jesus.
